It can also prevent or reduce neck and shoulder pain, which is very common among people who spend a lot of time sitting in front of a computer.
Before I go any further, I want to make it clear that I am not a qualified physiotherapist or a medical expert. I am just sharing some tips and best practices that I have learned from reading and watching various sources of information. You should always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise routine or if you have any health concerns.
One of the most important things to consider when working from home is your desk setup. You want to make sure that your chair, desk, monitor, keyboard, and mouse are all adjusted to suit your height and comfort. You should also avoid slouching, hunching, or leaning forward too much. Try to keep your back straight, your shoulders relaxed, and your head aligned with your spine.
Another thing to remember is to take frequent breaks from your work. Every 30 minutes or so, you should get up and move around a bit. You can do some simple stretches for your neck, shoulders, arms, wrists, back, hips, legs, and ankles. You don’t need any special equipment or a lot of space for these stretches. You can do them in your office, living room, bedroom, or even in the bathroom.
