Here’s my recipe for healthy protein bars no bake using oats, maple syrup, chocolate protein powder, and melted dark chocolate:
Ingredients for healthy protein bars no bake:
- 2 cups rolled organic oats
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder
- 1/2 cup almond butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup melted dark chocolate (for topping and I use at least 70% cocoa kind)
Cooking Instructions:
- In a food processor, blend the rolled oats until they become a fine powder.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the blended oats, maple syrup, chocolate protein powder, almond butter, almond milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix everything together until you have a thick, sticky mixture.
- Press the mixture into a lined 8×8 inch baking dish. Use a spatula to smooth out the top so that it’s even.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or over a double boiler. Once melted, pour the chocolate over the top of the mixture in the baking dish, and use a spatula to spread it out evenly.
- Chill the mixture in the fridge or freezer for 1-2 hours, or until it’s set.
- Once the mixture has chilled, remove it from the baking dish and cut it into 12 bars.
- Store the bars in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer until you’re ready to eat them.
