What this site is

Every page here is a static file. There is no account to create, no comment section, no newsletter, no contact form that stores anything, and no place to enter personal details. Nothing you read requires you to tell this site who you are.

What is collected automatically

Cloudflare delivers these pages and runs the bot check on the signup page. Like any host, it keeps ordinary server logs as part of serving a website: typically an IP address, the page requested, the time and the browser being used. Those logs are used to keep the site working and to deal with abuse, and they are held by Cloudflare rather than read here on any routine basis.

The site sets one cookie of its own, and only on the signup page: a short-lived security token from the bot check. It expires after five minutes, it is not used to follow you or to build a profile, and it is strictly necessary for that page to work, so it does not depend on consent.

Analytics

Google Analytics measures which pages are useful, as aggregate traffic data. It loads through Cloudflare Zaraz and runs only after you accept analytics in the consent banner; until you do, it is blocked. It receives the page you viewed and an approximate location derived from your IP address, and nothing else. This site has nothing for you to type, so nothing you enter can reach it.

There are no advertising networks, no advertising trackers and no third-party tracking scripts on any page.

If you send an email

Writing to [email protected] means this site holds your email address and whatever you wrote. That is kept for as long as it takes to deal with the message and to act on a correction, and it is used for nothing else. There is no mailing list, so nobody is added to one, and the address is not passed to anyone else.

Do not send identity documents, bank details, or screenshots containing another person’s personal information. None of it is needed to correct a page, and this site has no secure channel for receiving it.

Links to other sites

This site does not link out. No page here carries a link to a dating app or to any other company, and on the fraud pages the addresses of government reporting services are given as plain text so that you type them yourself rather than following anything from here. The one exception is the signup page reached from the band at the foot of some pages: its button hands you to a dating site, and that page states where the button goes and what happens on the other side before you press it. Because nothing else here sends you anywhere, no other company learns that a visit started on this site, and this site cannot see what you do on any other one.

Affiliate links, when they exist

This site may earn a commission when a reader signs up to an app after following a link from a page here. When links of that kind are live, the link carries an identifier so that the app knows the visit came from this site, and the app or its affiliate network may set its own cookie when you arrive. That is the only part of this site that involves tracking, it belongs to the other company rather than to this one, and it is explained in full on the affiliate disclosure page.

What is never done with it: no profile of a reader is built up, no reader is shown a different page because of who they are, and no personal data is sold, rented or exchanged.

Asking what is held

Write to [email protected] and ask what is held about you. In practice the answer will be an email you sent, if you sent one, and nothing else. A request to delete that email will be honored unless it is still needed to deal with an outstanding correction.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not aimed at anybody under eighteen. Nothing here is designed to collect information from a child, and there is nothing on the site for a child to sign up to.

Changes to this page

If the site starts doing something new that involves data, this page changes first and the date at the top changes with it. A new measurement tool, an affiliate network or a mailing list all count, and none of them would be added quietly.
